Try Florentine Steak like a local. Take a trip to one of the best butchers in town and choose your perfect steak before heading to a private garden where you’ll have a traditional Tuscan barbecue. You’ll try many different styles of olive oil, you’ll learn how to cook the bistecca and then have a wonderful lunch.
Take a mini bus to an organic farm in the Tuscan countryside where you’ll explore olive groves before heading to a wine cellar to try Tuscan red wines straight from the barrel and then enjoy a beautiful cooking experience where you learn how to make fresh pasta like spaghetti or tagliatelle and ravioli. From May to October you can enjoy their swimming pool.
Take a tour of a Parmigiano Reggiano farm. You’ll see and participate in all the steps of cheese production and then enjoy a tasting of the famous cheese.
30 min outside of Florence is a lovely park that contains one of the largest statues every created. This 35 foot colossus is so large that it actually has rooms inside that you can enter. Commissioned by Francesco I de’ Medici in the 16th century, the Appennine Colossus as it’s called took 12 years to complete for renowned Italian sculptor Giambologna.
Be taken to a Tuscan Villa where you’ll ride horses through the countryside and then visit an 18th century vineyard called Castle Villa where you’ll try some fantastic wines.
Head to San Minato, one of the best regions for truffles and spend the afternoon truffle hunting with a dog named Ciocco. At the end of your truffle hunt you’ll head back to the villa and enjoy a 3-course lunch based on fresh truffles. After lunch, you’ll be driven to the Chianti wine growing region to explore a beautiful cellar set in a Renaissance villa. Here you’ll experience a fantastic Chianti wine tasting.
