Milos

Milos is honestly another planet.  It feels more like you’ve taken a trip to the moon than a Greek Island.  We only spent 2 days on Milos and were really sad that we didn’t make it a bigger part of our trip.  There appears to be quite a bit to do on the island.  It is bigger and prettier than Folegandros, but has comparatively low numbers of tourists.  If for no other reason, go to check out the moonlike landscape of Sarakiniko.

Where To Stay

We stayed at the Melian Boutique Spa Hotel.  This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in while traveling to Greece.  The beds were gloriously soft and comfortable.  The spa was gorgeous.  Their restaurant was delicious.  And, the view from their outdoor deck was phenomenal.  Stopping at Milos for your last leg of your trip before returning to Athens, makes sense logistically and staying at the Melian Boutique Spa Hotel gives you access to affordable spa treatments to truly relax you before you return to the real world.

Don’t forget to get their breakfast delivered to your hotel balcony

There’s about a dozen little towns to drive around and visit on Milos, but some of our favorites were:

– Klima

– Sarakiniko

– Adamas

– Plaka

– Tripiti

– Pollonia

And, as always…don’t forget to take plenty of photos…
