There is only one reason to go to Ludwigsburg and that is for their yearly pumpkin festival that occurs throughout the month of October. On the grounds of Ludwigsburg’s stunning Residential Palace they celebrate the fall harvest every year with stands selling every type of pumpkin product you can possibly imagine, pumpkin themed decorations throughout, food stands, live music, pumpkin carving contests and other pumpkin related contests. It’s a great place to take your family, especially children, as they have tons of entertainment for the kids as well as an entire fairytale land that you can walk through around the back of the palace grounds.
